As a doctoral candidate at the University of Southern California I’m currently working on understanding human papillomavirus (HPV) infection by bridging virology, microscopy, and cellular & molecular biology. I’m also excited by areas where science and art intersect. More 

These are HeLa cells viewed under a microscope. In the lab, I use fluorescent labels to track the movement of HPV within a single cell. Here, blue is the nucleus, green is HPV, and red marks storage compartments within the cell. When HPV is inside these compartments, you see yellow.
